Empowering our athletes to shine, Able2 Pontefract, formed in April 2009 is affiliated to Special Olympics Great Britain as well as membership, partnership and links with many other sports governing bodies.
Able2 Pontefract, now over ten years since its formation, continues to fulfil our aims and objectives to increase participation and performance standards in disability sport, offering coaching and competitive opportunities in sport for people with learning disabilities.
Able2 Pontefract also seeks to promote an awareness of disability sport to the wider community. Our athletes train and compete in the following sports: athletics, boccia, equestrian, new age kurling, swimming and table tennis.
